You know, this is funny because I’ve been telling myself for a few weeks that I need to make some new ones, but I’ve been putting it off. So now I’ve made some. I’ll make a post in a bit and share them.

I actually just started listening to him recently, so I’m still acquainting myself with all of his music, haha. But so far, I’d say “The Likes of Me” is one of my favorites.
I love Noah and The Whale! And I’ve listened to Beach House some, but not a lot. Probably should… I haven’t posted any NATW for some reason, so I’ll fix that now.

Okay, what is so hard to understand about this?
No, I will not make it available for download. As I explained here and here, I am not interested in keeping a band I love from profiting from their music. If all of you who have asked for the album to be posted for free love them so much, you should spend the $4.95 to BUY the album so that they can fund things like tours and putting out a full-length album.
The ONLY things I will post to download are recordings of live shows that are not for sale. These things are free and the musicians are not losing money as a result.

And here are a few reasons why:
1. It’s available for purchase from iTunes here in the US, here in the UK, here in Canada, and here in Australia. As I said earlier today, as long as you can buy it online, I won’t be sharing the files as a download.
2. I fully believe in supporting a band you love, if you want them to be able to tour, record, and continue to play for a living. Giving out the album for free does not do that.
3. It’s $4.95. I think that’s pretty manageable.
I’m sorry, but these are my personal rules for sharing music, and I only break them under very specific circumstances. This is not one of those situations. If you find someone else who will send it to you, that’s none of my business, but it won’t be coming from me.
I’m sorry. It sucks when there’s music you love but you can’t afford it. I would post it for download, but since it’s available for purchase, I don’t feel it’s right. The reason I did it with Le Wrens was because their EP is no longer for sale and I knew a few people wanted it. If I find it for sale again, I’ll remove it.
I guess you’ll have to put the money aside for it. It’s only $4.95 so it’s manageable. If it ever gets taken down and you can’t buy it anywhere, I’d make it available as a download, but unless and until that happens, I’m sorry.

Ohhhhhh my word, I am so jealous!! I’ve wanted to see him live from the moment I heard one of his songs. He needs to come to Virginia! haha. I’m so glad you found him and love him, and thanks!! I try to have a mix of known and lesser known (or unknown) hoping to get some great musicians more love that they deserve. Sometimes I feel like I’m not accomplishing anything, but I’m SO GLAD to know that it worked at least once! haha :)
OH! And speaking of the adorable Gundersen family, have you listened to Le Wrens? I’ve posted a couple songs by them I think, but some of Noah’s siblings are in it, Lizzy and Jonathan, and their sister Abby sometimes plays with them when she’s not playing with Noah. Anyway, I love them and if you listen to them and do too, message me and I can send you their EP since they don’t have it for sale on their Bandcamp page anymore.
And finally, since I haven’t rambled enough yet, you get a hug as well because that seems to be what I’m doing lately. :)
